Career Support Resources for UNI's Dual Career Couples

CareerLink

UNI CareerLink is a web-based job listing and referral system supported and maintained by Academic Advising and Career Services. Trailing spouses and partners of UNI faculty and staff can register with CareerLink for up to two years at no charge as a service of the office of Academic Advising and Career Services. Registration with UNI CareerLink provides a strong link to prospective employers as well as access to resources that helpful for the job search.

Registering with UNI CareerLink enables you to:

  • Utilize UNI CareerLink 24 hours a day. Put your resume on our website and make it available to over 4,000 employers who have been given access by our office.
  • Be referred directly to positions at employer request. Academic Advising and Career Services staff is asked to refer candidates directly to employers throughout the year. UNI CareerLink allows the generation of resume referrals based on employer needs and allows employers to access this data directly.
  • Access job vacancies. Vacancies are posted on UNI CareerLink by Academic Advising and Career Services staff and employers. Full-time, co-op/internship and graduate assistant/fellowship listings are included.
  • Apply electronically for positions. UNI CareerLink allows you to send your resume electronically to employers posting vacancies in the system.
  • Find information on industries, cities, careers, and salaries.

To register with UNI CareerLink, visit with Bob Frederick in Academic Advising and Career Services in Student Services Ctr 214 (phone 319-273-6857 to make an appointment). Once you have registered, you can login to UNI CareerLink, complete the "profile" section, upload your resume, and post it to a resume book. For help in using UNI CareerLink, click here.
