Sustainability Update 2012
Wednesday, April 18, 20122012 marks the fourth year of the UNI and Board of Regents Sustainability Initiative. The UNI community is invited to join the University Sustainability Council to recognize the ongoing sustainability efforts on campus and reflect on what the future holds for sustainability efforts. Outstanding and inspiring success stories will be shared from throughout the campus community highlighting real stories of how individuals and groups on campus have made a difference. This event will also recognize the efforts of students, faculty and staff that have made UNI a more sustainable campus.
Keynote Speaker
Father Robert "Bud" Grant from St. Ambrose University will serve as the keynote speaker for the 2012 UNI Sustainability Update. Through the years Father Bud has helped students put their growing awareness of social justice and environmentalism into action. Recently, his Environmental Ethics class produced a document that they hope Iowa's colleges and universities will use to grade their success as green campuses.
