Green Project UNI
The purpose of this organization is to provide a venue for the honest discussion of our collective lifestyles and work, through action, towards change for a more sustainable and green future. Our diverse membership includes students from all colleges.

GreenLife
GreenLife is a student based organization that aims at promoting organic/local food purchasing, promoting vegetarian/vegan lifestyles for increased personal health and a more sustainable system of food production, and informing the student body about issues surrounding our current agricultural system.

UNI Habitat for Humanity
UNI Habitat helps to create adequate housing for people involved in the Habitat for Humanity program in Black Hawk. We do every aspect of the house building process. We also hold fundraisers and social events.

Iowa Environmental Health Association Student Chapter
Student organization affiliated with the Iowa Environmental Health Association to help with networking in the environmental health field.

Northern Iowa Energy Corps
Promote sustainability practices within UNI, Cedar Falls, and Waterloo Community. Help uphold the mission statement of and work closely with the Green Iowa AmeriCorps. Their mission statement is empowering communities through energy education, weatherization, and outreach. Volunteering time to help others, learn to conduct energy audit of homes, offer energy services to people in need, have rich satisfying experiences serving others.

Northern Iowa Student Government
NISG is the student governing body in regulations, implementation, and coordination of UNI student issues. The organization represents the student body in University and non-University matters and promotes activities that are in the best interest of the student body. NISG also promotes student involvement in the governmental process by addressing issues that affect students such as tuition, financial aid, educational quality and student rights.

Student Health Advisory Committee
SHAC's role is to promote health issues and prevention by:
-Advocating for the health needs of students.
-Educating students about Student Health Center resources, services and fees.
Benefits of being a SHAC member include:
-Helping improve the quality of student life through better health.
-Building your resume for further professional education or careers.
-Developing leadership and communication skills.

Student Nature Society
Members of SNS are interested in the outdoors, and in stewardship of our environment. Club service activities include strengthening recycling initiatives, environmental awareness, prairie burns, and participation in Earth Day activities. Social activities include camping and other outdoor activities, field trips to natural sites around the state, and the spring plant sale.

Sofa is UNI branch of a national orgainzation, OFA (Organizing For America). Sofa's goals are to inform the student body of the issues that America faces today!
