Lawther Hall was built in 1938 and was remodeled in 1950. It is 107,085 square feet and is a dormitory.

The building is heated with steam.

The goal of the University is to decrease energy consumption in all buildings on campus. Each individual plays a part in this by reducing their energy use and every little bit helps.

The University as a whole has been working towards educating the university community about energy-conscious actions and techniques to establish responsible lifelong behaviors.
