Students are required to wear closed toed shoes each day or they will not be allowed to participate in any outdoor activities.
Students will be out in the garden for 1-2 hours per day and will need to be prepared to perform moderate physical labor outdoors and wear clothing that can get dirty.
Students are highly encouraged to wear sunscreen and long pants.
Participants will be working in the garden with insects. We urge caution if your child has a bee allergy – please indicate appropriate medication.
Students will be working with gardening hand tools and will be expected to handle themselves in an appropriate manner when working with tools to avoid any injury to themselves or others.
We need to be able to provide a safe learning environment to all who are participating and any student who cannot conduct themselves appropriately will be sent home without exception.
