The Richard O. Jacobson Center for Comprehensive Literacy and the Reading Recovery Center of Iowa welcome you to the Third Annual Jacobson Center and Reading Recovery Literacy Academy – a place of study and training in Partnerships in Comprehensive Literacy and Reading Recovery – held October 7-8, 2014 at the University of Northern Iowa Maucker Union.  Specific strands will be available for: Reading Recovery Teachers and Teacher Leaders, Comprehensive Literacy Coaches and classroom teachers, Comprehensive Intervention Model Coaches and interventions, and Partnerships in Comprehensive Literacy (PCL) Administrators. Keynote speakers include New York Times best-selling author and educational consultant Christopher Lehman, children’s literature expert, Anita Silvey, Dr. Patricia Scharer, Professor of Education and Human Ecology at The Ohio State University and President of the Reading Recovery Council of North America, and Mary Rosser, Director of the University Training Center for Reading Recovery and Coordinator of Literacy Professional Development Programs at the University of Maine.
