10:00 am - 3:30 pm	Pre-Institute Mentoring Academy: Audience: New Mentor Program Facilitators and Administrators This workshop will ensure understanding of Iowa statutory requirements for mentoring and induction, prepare mentor facilitators and administrators to lead effective programs, encourage the implementation of effective practices for mentoring and induction and address issues of importance to participants.

6:00 pm	Awards Banquet and Keynoter Dr. Susan Moore Johnson, Carl H. Pforzheimer, Jr. Professor of Teaching and Learning, Harvard Graduate School of Education Supporting and Retaining the Next Generation of Teachers Mildred Middleton awards will be presented for outstanding mentor and program leaders. Deadline for nomination forms is April 1, 2009
