Transportation Services

Transportation Services is responsible for a broad array of services. These services include moving and special events set-ups, table and chair rentals, refuse and recycling, automotive repairs and service, and Motor Pool.  Call 319-273-2610 or fax 319-273-5810.

Motor Pool leases and rents sedans, station wagons, vans and trucks to departments and individuals for University business; operates a fueling and vehicle repair station; and maintains data, titles, and licensing for the vehicle fleet.

The Automotive Shop maintains the University's vehicle fleet, including Motor Pool. The university fleet consists of approximately 170 licensed vehicles and another 100 off-road equipment items of varying size. Call 3-2869 for service.

Campus shuttle service and special transportation services are operated by Metropolitan Transit Authority (MET), 319-234-5714.

Transportation Services also collects recycling and refuse from all campus buildings. Please report any overflowing containers, generally beige in color, to 3-2869.

Moving Services - Facilities Services provides assistance for planning and moving complete offices or individual furniture pieces, files, computers, books and other office items.
