About Disability Services

Faculty and Staff Disability Services is committed to ensuring faculty, staff, prospective employees, and visitors with disability have the best possible experience while at the University of Northern Iowa.  The University values Diversity, and recognizes disability as a part of its commitment to Diversity.

The Employee Disability and Leave Coordinator position in Human Resource Services was created to assist, accommodate, and advocate for individuals with disability, to best ensure equal access across campus.  The position serves as a point of contact for faculty and staff, prospective employees, and visitors regarding accessibility and accommodations.  The University is committed to being in compliance with, in addition to being in the spirit of the Americans with Disability Act of 1990, and the Americans with Disability Amendments Act of 2008. 

The coordinator also administers the Workers’ Compensation program and Family and Medical Leave Act policy for Faculty and Staff.  If you have any comments, questions, or suggestions in regards to Faculty and Staff Disability Services, please contact the Employee Disability and Leave Coordinator.
