Professional & Scientific (P&S) staff assist in the formation
and administration of policy and aid in the execution of academic,
student and administrative services as required for University operations. Professional and Scientific employees are represented by the P&S Council.

P&S Compensation & Classification

HRS assists supervisors and employees in establishing new positions and reviewing existing positions for appropriate classification within the Professional & Scientific system. HRS staff also approves and processes changes to compensation for P&S staff such as merit increases, reclassification or promotional increases, special compensation and other salary adjustments. They also participate in and conduct salary surveys and analyze information to support compensation decisions.
