National Mail Service Updates - California wildfires update
This information is current as of 8 p.m. ET, Monday, Oct. 22.
Wildfires continue to wreak havoc in southern California , forcing the closure and evacuation of Post Offices throughout the area. The situation is very fluid as fires continue to break out throughout the area and fire resources are stretched to the limits.

Closed until further notice:
Los Angeles District: Malibu, CA (90265) — Malibu Colony Annex, Point Dume, La Costa Finance and Malibu Main Office are all closed.

Evacuated (offering no delivery or retail service at this time.)
Sierra Coastal District: Piru (93040).
San Diego District: Dulzura (91917), Jamul (91935), Potrero (91963) Poway (92064), Rancho Bernardo (92127/8), Rancho Penasquitos (92129), Ramona (92065), Rancho Santa Fe (92067), Santa Ysabel (92070), Spring Valley (91977), Tecate (91890) and Palomar Mountain (92060).

Additionally, the Green Valley (92341), Spring Valley Lake (92341), Arrowbear (92382), Twin Peaks (92391) and the Rim Forrest (92378) Post Offices have been evacuated.

Santa Ana District: Although an intense fire is burning in the district, postal deliveries are continuing. No retail operations have been affected.

For mailers using ‘Drop Shipment’ service to drop mail directly into Post Offices, re-routing information is not available for the affected ZIP Codes at this time.

USPS is working diligently to restore service as soon as conditions permit. Mailers are asked to check back regularly throughout the day for further updates.
