Public Sale of Equipment

The university from time to time offers equipment and other goods for public sale that have exhausted their useful life at the university. The public sale of goods occurs in different venues depending on what is being sold. Formats for sale include live auctions, online auctions, tag sales and sealed bids.

Tag Sales at UNI Warehouse

Beginning Thursday, December 1st, 2005, the University of Northern Iowa will hold weekly surplus equipment sales.

All items will be tagged with a specific price, sold “as is” and must be removed on day of purchase.

UNI has decided that all surplus computers will have all the hard drives and all other data storage devices removed before they are offered for sale to the public. All computers available this week and in the future will not have hard drives available for sale.
The following items are available for tag sale this Thursday November 5th from 10:00-1:00:
(9) PIII computers
(3) P4 computers
(2) flat-panel monitors (not working)
 H/P OmniBook laptop computer w/case & accessories
Approx 65 bicycles (not in rideable condition)
H/P LaserJet 5n printer
The following items will be sold on silent auction from 10:00-12:30:
(3) selected bicycles
Dell Inspiron 8200 laptop computer
Dell Latitude C400 laptop computer
Palm V palm pilot w/charger/AC adaptor
