Public Sale of Equipment

The university from time to time offers equipment and other goods for public sale that have exhausted their useful life at the university. The public sale of goods occurs in different venues depending on what is being sold. Formats for sale include live auctions, online auctions, tag sales and sealed bids.

Tag Sales at UNI Warehouse

Beginning December 1st, 2009, the University of Northern Iowa will hold weekly surplus equipment sales the 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month.

All items will be tagged with a specific price, sold “as is” and must be removed on day of purchase.

UNI has decided that all surplus computers will have all the hard drives and all other data storage devices removed before they are offered for sale to the public. All computers available this week and in the future will not have hard drives available for sale.
The Surplus Store will be closed Thursday, November 26, to observe the holiday Thanksgiving Day.
