Public Sale of Equipment

The university from time to time offers equipment and other goods for public sale that have exhausted their useful life at the university. The public sale of goods occurs in different venues depending on what is being sold. Formats for sale include live auctions, online auctions, tag sales and sealed bids.

Tag Sales at UNI Warehouse

The University of Northern Iowa will hold weekly surplus equipment sales the 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month.

All items will be tagged with a specific price, sold “as is” and must be removed on day of purchase.

The weather/cancellation procedure for the surplus store follows the general campus cancellation decision. If the media indicates that UNI will be closed, the store will also be closed. If in doubt, you may contact Don at 273-3520.

UNI has decided that all surplus computers will have all the hard drives and all other data storage devices removed before they are offered for sale to the public. All computers available this week will not have hard drives available for sale. This policy may change soon.

The University of Northern Iowa is offering multiple items for public sale.

The next University of Northern Iowa surplus tag sale will be held
this Thursday May 16, 2013. The store will open at 10:00 a.m. and
close at noon. There will be a preview on Wednesday from 2:00 to 3:00
in the afternoon. All items are sold as is and it is the buyer’s
responsibility to remove them from the store the day of the sale.

Very little has come in for this sale and there are no computer for
sale this time.

1 h/p color LaserJet 3700 dtn printer (has error message)
2 large Barker refrigeration units (working condition is unknown)
1 American Baking Systems water chiller
2 Dell laptop computer case
4 Emerson streamline telephones (new in box)
1 box of eleven Purolator 18X20X1 furnace filters
1 box of twelve PerfectPleat 14X34X1 furnace filters
1 set of computer speakers
3 desk chairs (in need of repair)

The U.N.I. surplus store at U.N.I Warehouse 1, at 2412 West 27th Street in Cedar Falls Iowa. The building is a large warehouse that is light gray in color. It is located West of the McLeod center on 27th Street and is on the other side of the street. The store is on the back side of the building at the South East corner.
