Welcome to the Department of Public Safety web site. I hope the information we provide to you on this site is helpful and easy to navigate.
This site is designed to provide students, faculty, staff, and visitors with information regarding a number of topics including crime prevention, personal and property protection, parking information and a review of the services offered through our department.
The Department of Public Safety has two divisions, Police and Parking Services. We have 18 sworn police officers. We have officers on duty 24-hours a day seven days a week. These officers are supplemented by our Student Patrol comprised of 15 to 20 students who assist in providing various non-law enforcement services to the campus community.
The Parking Division has four full-time employees and also is supplemented by student staff who provide clerical and parking enforcement duties.
Please take a moment and review the information on this site. If you have suggestions about how this site could be more useful, please e-mail or call me with your suggestions.
Contact the university police by phone, fax, or U.S.mail/campus mail. Walk-in visits are also welcome during normal business hours.
