Emergency Phones

University of Northern Iowa has ten phones located across campus for use in emergencies. UNI Public Safety officers respond to emergency phone calls.

Using the Phone

• Push the red button
• Speak into the phone to report emergency
• Strobe light on top will flash, marking the location for responding officers

To combat false alarms, any person initiating a false call on the blue light or other emergency phones may be subject to criminal charges.

• North end of Dike (South Art Lot)
• North of Curris Business Building
• East of 23rd Street Market
• North of Lang Hall
• Between Gilchrist and the Greenhouse
• North of the Industrial Technology Center
• North of ROTH
• Between CEEE and the bridge to University Apartments/ROTH
• Between the Rod Library and Maucker Union
