The
Shuttle History
The Panther
Shuttle was proposed by the Northern Iowa Student Government (NISG)
in the Fall of 1996. The trial run of the Shuttle was well received
by the community, but it was limited to two and a half months in
Fall 1997 and Spring 1998. The shuttle has returned for both Fall
and Spring semesters in each of the last six years.
The Panther
Shuttle is designed to increase transportation convenience and reduce
parking problems for university students. The service is free to
students, faculty and staff. It is funded in part by NISG, student
activity fees, Public Safety/Parking Division, the Department of
Residence and other area supporters.
