MyUNIverse is a component of the UNI website that allows you to view personal records and important information about UNI in one convenient location. Your particular MyUNIverse page, referred to as a portal, is a secure and custom-made location. It contains data that is specific to you and your needs at UNI.
Access to MyUNIverse is gained through a login and password. Because MyUNIverse contains private information, it is extremely important to keep your password safe and to always logout of your portal when you are finished.
Determining Your Login ID-CatID
Your CatID is the combination of your username and password used for systems authenticated through the Central Authentication System. The CatID logo is your clue to use this username/password combination to log in.
Your username is the unique 3-8 character account name that identifies you as a member of the UNI community. For students, your username is the portion before the @ sign in your UNI email address.

Your MyUNIverse Password
If you are accessing email or MyUNIverse as a new user, your initial password is in the format mmdd$nnnnnn (mm is the first 2 letters of your birth month, dd is the 2 digit number of your birth day and nnnnnn is your 6 digit university ID#, example: ja01$123456). For security reasons, you are required to change your password the first time you log in. Your new password must be at least 8 characters long and must contain at least one alpha, one numeric, and one special character. See the password requirements for a complete listing.

Accessing your MyUNIverse Portal
- Go to www.uni.edu
- Click on MyUNIverse on the top of the screen.
- Type your login and password.
- Click Login.
- Your personal MyUNIverse portal will load.
MyUNIverse will time-out if it is inactive for too long. If time-out occurs, the Login screen will automatically appear. You do not have to exit MyUNIverse to login again.

Logging out of MyUNIverse
Your MyUNIverse portal contains all of your personal records at UNI. Therefore, it is especially important to always complete the following steps when you are finished with MyUNIverse.
- Click log out on the upper right corner of the screen
- Close your Internet browser window

Components of MyUNIverse
The following is a brief overview of some of the sections found within MyUNIverse. Not all sections are covered.
- Announcements – displays current announcements that affect you. Announcements can be deleted when you no longer need them. Outdated announcements will disappear automatically.
- My Personal Records – includes information about your records at UNI. Examples include Vacation Sick Leave Summary, Direct Deposits and Annual Fringe Benefit Statement. You can also update your personal information in this section
- Click on Update my personal information found in the My Personal Records tab
- Use the tabs across the top of the screen to locate the information you would like to change (example: if you would like to change your address, click on the address tab).
- Once you have made the changes, be sure to click save changes.
- Today’s Events – the calendar of the current month will bold the current day. Click on any day of the month to display the events for that day. You can navigate forward or backward through the months by clicking on the arrows located on the top right and left hand sides.

Forgotten Passwords
In the event that you forget your MyUNIverse password contact the Computer Consulting Center by one of the choices listed to have your password reset:
